We are currently looking to recruit a Lifeguard and Pool Care Operator who is able to display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people, work flexibly and be part of a multi-disciplinary team, and has the ability to work effectively without supervision as well as use their own initiative.

What the role will entail

  • Supervising swimming activities at the pool and making sure that safety procedures, guidelines and policies are followed.
  • Independently oversee the safe and effective operation of the swimming pool plant equipment. This includes managing water treatment, filtration, chemical dosing, and heating systems to ensure consistently high-water quality and a safe environment.
  • Assess conditions for safety and provide an action plan for any pool emergency
  • Ensure that the grounds area by the swimming pool is kept in good condition, working with the Site Manager and Maintenance team to ensure this happens.
  • Ensure that the equipment and facilities are kept in a clean and good condition.

 

What is essential for the role

The ideal candidate would demonstrate initiative and show commitment to the protection and safeguarding of our children and young people. They would be physically fit, active and mobile, possess a clean, full driving licence. As well as this they should be reliable and flexible in their work approach, able to effectively communicate within a team and have an eye for detail.

We are looking for someone who has experience in commercial and or residential maintenance and is a Qualified Lifesaver. You must also be willing to complete RLSS UK qualifications and National Pool Plant Operators Certificate.

Training and development

We want to give you the best opportunity to learn hands on, how to do your role to the highest standard. Initially you will attend weekly induction training sessions to support you with your new role.

It doesn’t stop there though, throughout your career at Loddon you will continuously receive training and support to help you develop.

Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Salary

The hourly rate for this role starts at £12.54 an hour.

This can be dependent on qualifications and experience within a similar setting.
