HOURS: 20-30 per week
SALARY RANGE: £12,732.72 - £20,163 this is inclusive of a 10% shift allowance
Details:
  • 8.45pm to 7.45am including a 1-hour unpaid break, 2-3 nights per week – flexible.
  • There is also an opportunity to work full time, across 4 nights per week.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate would be passionate about providing quality care and education for the children, would be patient and understanding and will ensure that they are always promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children.

Although previous experience within a similar setting and qualifications would be beneficial, it is not essential as we provide all the training required to help our employees have the best start in their career. If you demonstrate a willingness to learn we will give you the tools you need to succeed.

A little about the role

  • Participate in evening activities
  • Support the children’s independence with household tasks and personal care
  • Carry out and record regular checks on the children throughout the night
  • Attend mandatory training courses and other recommended training to support with own development
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, external professionals, and colleagues

Training & Development at Loddon
We aim to give you the best opportunity to learn hands on, how to do your role to the highest standard. You will receive 4 weeks of training where you will shadow a senior member of staff as well as weekly induction training sessions. During this time, you will have built strong professional relationships with the children and have a greater understanding of their needs, likes and dislikes.

We are passionate about staff development and progression at Loddon. If you are not qualified to the equivalent to a Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma, you would be enrolled once you have completed your 3-month probation, with the support of our dedicated internal training team.

It doesn’t stop there, throughout your career at Loddon, you will continuously receive training and support to help you develop within the school. Whether this be to undertake a QTS, a Team Leading qualification or various Level 2 funded courses related to the work you do.

Salary
The salary is based on working 20 – 30 hours per week, inclusive of a 10% night shift allowance. Salaries are dependent on relevant qualifications and previous experience in similar settings.
