There are various opportunities to work in our dynamic, experienced, and supportive care team to facilitate the children’s morning and evening routines at the Loddon School, all whilst supporting their independence with household tasks and personal care.
We have part time vacancies (between 12-25 hours per week) for those seeking flexible work in Care who cannot commit to a full-time role.
Loddon is a home and school to 30 children aged between 8-19, with severe learning difficulties and autism associated with complex restrictive behaviours. Experience within a similar setting is desirable, however not essential as full in-house training is provided.

We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing the highest standards of care and facilitating opportunities for learning for our wonderful children. Previous experience of looking after children with autism would be an advantage however a can-do attitude and commitment to the children and your team is equally as important and full training will be given.
Hours are varied – morning shifts starting at 7.30am and evening shifts starting from 5pm.
There is a degree of flexibility to work around the needs of the school but to also fit around you.
Examples of shifts may be 7.30am – 10.30am or 5/6pm – 10.00pm.

You will receive a £125 welcome bonus when you have passed your probation.
Your first four weeks at Loddon aim to give you the best opportunity to learn hands on, how to do your role to the highest standard. You would spend 2 weeks on your dedicated days shadowing a member of staff, and then the following 2 weeks you will take the lead supporting and have the member of staff shadowing you. You will also receive induction training for 4x Thursdays throughout your first month from the internal training team.
At Loddon, we are passionate about staff development and progression. If you are not qualified to the equivalent of a Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma, we would enrol you once you have completed your 3-month probation with the support of our dedicated internal training department.
Throughout your career at Loddon, you will continuously receive training and support to help you develop within the school. Whether this be to undertake a QTS, a Team Leading Qualification or various Level 2 funded courses related to the work you do.
**The hourly rate is between £9.67 – £10.25 . This is dependent on relevant qualifications and previous experience within a similar setting**
