HOURS: Full Time
SALARY RANGE: £27,000 - £39,000

Loddon is made up 7 houses, supporting 4-5 young people in each house, with a team of dedicated staff. The role of the children’s services manager is to lead in, and ensure the delivery of high quality care within your assigned house.

The Role

The role is strategic with daily input into operational matters where your expertise will ensure appropriate outcomes.  The role is full time and will be flexible, working a rota including both day and night shifts across a 7 week rota with weekend day shifts shared between the team.

This is a highly visible role hence confident communication skills are essential, as is an organised approach.  You will lead, coach and guide your teams to manage daily operational issues and ensure appropriate paperwork and reports are completed on time.  You will have a working knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and how this translates into practice.

A natural leader, you will remain calm in a crisis whilst motivating others and creating a dynamic and engaging environment where new ideas are encouraged and discussed. Your ability to demonstrate your skills as a practitioner will be key to inspiring your team to deliver the highest level of care to our children on a daily basis and safeguarding will always be at the forefront of what you do.

We have one permanent position and one fixed term position.

Experience and Qualifications

Applicants will be expected to undertake the Pearson BTEC Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Care (England) as part on their ongoing development and so a willingness to commit to further study is essential.  Ideally you will hold a Level 3 certificate as a vocational assessor and have at least three years management experience or able to clearly demonstrate areas of your current and past experience where you have held responsibility for leading and managing a team.

Salary: £27,000 – £39,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
