During our Easter weekend the children were able to experience an Easter egg hunt, an Easter assembly, and plenty of chocolate based cooking. Over the following weekend the Easter theme was followed up by developing the topic of spring.
The students follow a themed weekend programme and in March they explored the world of the dinosaurs and enjoyed plenty of indoor leisure activities as well as developing some of their literacy skills. Sensory foods formed part of the weekend and the Dinosaur green jelly was quite a hit.
Some of the year 11 students completed work experience around the school premises.
Pancake races and obstacles courses were the order of the day on Shrove Tuesday as the children and staff joined the English tradition of racing while tossing pancakes.
