St Georges Day – March 2016
Celebrating the Patron saints days have been central to our British values cultural experiences and the story of St. George and the Dragon offered plenty of opportunity for literacy development through the telling of the story and drama workshops.
Easter Weekend – March 2016
During our Easter weekend the children were able to experience an Easter egg hunt, an Easter assembly, and plenty of chocolate based cooking. Over the following weekend the Easter theme was followed up by developing the topic of spring.
Dinosaur Weekend – February 2016
The students follow a themed weekend programme and in March they explored the world of the dinosaurs and enjoyed plenty of indoor leisure activities as well as developing some of their literacy skills. Sensory foods formed part of the weekend and the Dinosaur green jelly was quite a hit.
Work Experience – February 2016
Some of the year 11 students completed work experience around the school premises.
Shrove Tuesday – February 2016
Pancake races and obstacles courses were the order of the day on Shrove Tuesday as the children and staff joined the English tradition of racing while tossing pancakes.
Valentines Weekend – February 2016
A weekend full of things we love, cake making and craft activities with a lot of hearts, pink icing and love.
Burns Night – January 2016
A weekend of Scottish crafts, food and music to celebrate our British culture.
