Your working hours will be 162.5 a month.
Normal working hours will be 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday however you will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate would be passionate about providing quality care and education for the children, would be patient and understanding and will ensure that they are always promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children.
You would have the equivalent of a Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have at least one years’ experience within a similar setting, leading a team. You will hold a NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading or have a willingness to undertake this within 12 months of employment.

Training & Development at Loddon
We aim to give you the best opportunity to learn hands on, how to do your role to the highest standard. You will receive 4 weeks of training where you will shadow a senior member of staff as well as weekly induction training sessions. During this time, you will have built strong professional relationships with the children and have a greater understanding of their needs, likes and dislikes.
We are passionate about staff development and progression at Loddon. If you are not qualified to the equivalent to a Level 2 NVQ in Team Leading, you would be enrolled once you have completed your 3-month probation, with the support of our dedicated internal training team.
It doesn’t stop there, throughout your career at Loddon, you will continuously receive training and support to help you develop within the school. Whether this be to undertake a QTS, or various Level 2 funded courses related to the work you do.
Salary
Between £24,102 – £25,896. The salary is based on full time employment and is dependent on qualifications and experience within similar settings.

The role is strategic with daily input into operational matters where your expertise will ensure appropriate outcomes. You will lead, coach, and guide your team to manage daily operational issues and ensure appropriate paperwork and reports are completed on time.
Loddon is made up of 7 houses, supporting 4-5 children in each house with a team of dedicated staff. The role will be to lead in and ensure the delivery of high-quality care within the assigned house.
What is essential for the role?
You will need to have working knowledge of the Children’s Home (England) Regulations 2015 and how it translates into practice. As a natural leader you will remain calm in a crisis, be able to create an engaging and dynamic environment and inspire your team to deliver the highest level of care to the children. Safeguarding will be at the forefront of everything you do.
It is essential that the right candidate holds a Level 5 in Residential Childcare or the equivalent and can demonstrate a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the sector, and 2 years of leadership.
The successful applicant will undertake the Pearson BTEC Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (England) as part of their ongoing development, and so a willingness to commit to further study is essential.

The ideal candidate would be passionate about providing a high standard to cleanliness, have a proactive approach and a can-do attitude. As the role will be within the children’s home and living space, you will need to have a patience and understanding, and will promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
Previous experience is not essential for the role, as you will shadow a experience member of the team to start off with, and will also receive induction training during your first 4 weeks to gain a greater understanding of the children and our approach at Loddon.
Hours of work?
Full time: 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 16:30 across 5 days a week (1 in 3 weekends).
Part time: 15 hours per week, between the hours of 08:30 – 16:30 every Saturday & Sunday.

The hourly rate for this role is between £10.52 – £11.13.
