We are very proud to announce that Lucy has been formally enrolled as a Girl Guide. She made her Promise in Makaton sign language. She was nervous of the other girls at first as there were many of them and they make quite a lot of noise. The other girls were nervous of Lucy too, not knowing what to expect or how to communicate with her. Now they are all best of friends and they make sure to include Lucy in everything that they do.
June is our annual trip to Paultons theme park as part of KIDS OUT day, kindly funded by Basingstoke and Deane Rotary Club. Some children enjoy the rides while others like a trip on a big coach and a picnic.
In May we started a new Street Dance session. A couple of students attend a Gremlin Dance for special needs students in Basingstoke, and we decided that other students may like the opportunity to join in. Hannah the dance teacher now comes weekly to Loddon School to run a session in the Leisure Barn.
