The Loddon School, based in Sherfield-on-Loddon is both a home and school to 30 children who have the most severe and complex learning difficulties and severe autism. Our children live at the school 52 weeks a year. The Loddon School is a home which provides education, leisure, play and outings.
The role is to care for our children on a daily basis and ensure all their needs are met. We focus on care and education 24/7 at the school. Instead of teaching our children in classrooms learning for our children takes place via activities. There is no typical day at Loddon as every day is different so if you are looking for a new and exciting challenge this is the place for you!
Activities could range from a long walk through the country or meeting our animals at our very own farm. You could be taking part in a swimming lesson at our pool or you might be having an art or music lesson outside in our vast grounds.
We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing the highest standards of care and facilitating opportunities for learning for our wonderful children. Previous experience of looking after children with autism would be an advantage however a can-do attitude and commitment to the children and your team is equally as important and full training will be given.
Shift Pattern (7.30am – 8pm / 11.30am – 10pm)
Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (7.30am-11.30am)
